Mining Finland with the support of Business Finland and together with the Peruvian company Linkminers invite you to the Finnish Online Mining Delegation to Peru.
Due to its unique geological richness, Peru is considered a key mining player worldwide. It is the largest producer of gold, tin, lead and molybdenum in Latin America and the world’s second-largest producer of silver, copper and zinc. 58 billion USD are to be invested in 48 projects for 2019-2028.
This online visit will be arranged only if at least 2 companies have registered by 10 September 2021.
Linkminers has created a virtual platform, where mining companies and technology suppliers are linked to solving specific challenges published by local mining companies.
This online delegation, originally planned to start in February 2021, has been rescheduled. The new dates and the tailor-made online program have been modified, as follows:
1. Operational needs discovery: September 20 – October 29, 2021 (duration: 6 weeks)
2. Pitch session: November 1 – 26, 2021 (duration: 4 weeks)
The program will provide an annual access to Linkminers´ challenge platform that is supplemented with their personal matchmaking service. The service will provide more detailed information of the challenges to better understand and meet the needs and requirements of the mining companies.
Despite COVID-19 and domestic political turbulence, the local mining sector has been fully re-activated, thanks to the rapid recovery of metal demand worldwide. The pandemic has accelerated the local mining sector’s digital transformation process to guarantee the operation’s continuity, efficiency and competitiveness. Likewise, mining companies are continuously looking for cutting-edge technologies to improve their processes, cost-efficiently, sustainably and environmentally friendly.
This online visit is tailored for Finnish mining technology providers interested in the Peruvian market.
PRACTICALITIES
To cover the expenses of arranging the online visit program in Peru, Mining Finland will charge a participation fee as follows:
1750 USD (approx. 1500 EUR) + 24% VAT per company.
Mining Finland will invoice the participation fee on November 1, 2021 after the Operational Needs Discovery part of the program, when the Finnish companies have confirmed their interest to also joining the pitch session.
